New Appointment - Family Liaison Officer

We’re delighted to announce a new appointment to the Autism Dogs CIC team: Laura White as our Family Liaison Officer!

Laura White, Family Liaison Officer at Autism Dogs CIC

Laura holds a First Class Honours Degree in Primary Education, an MA in Education, and teaches autistic children and children with severe learning difficulties in a specialist setting. Other training includes the use of PECS, Makaton, and managing challenging behavior.

We have created the new ‘Family Liaison Officer’ role to aid in the human side of our Assistance Dogs teams, and accompanies the many other ways we already support our families! The role will assist with communication and coping strategies within the home, which we hope will lead to an improved ability for our teams to work with their Assistance Dogs even more effectively!

Our Managing Director, Caroline Preston, said: “We are delighted to have Laura on board to add to the rapidly growing skillset within the business.

Laura will be another huge asset to our Programme and bring added 'Autism' expertise.

Her appointment is representative of our continued commitment to providing a first-class specialist service to autistic people, and the best possible support for all our families.”

Welcome to the team, Laura!
