Autism Advanced Accreditation Specialist Award

In September 2020, we became the first and only Assistance Dog Programme to gain Autism Accreditation from the National Autistic Society.

We are delighted to announce that following our re-accreditation assessment this year, not only have we retained our accreditation but we have now achieved the Autism Advanced Accreditation Specialist Award. This recognises us as being part of a growing community of services that is committed to providing the highest standard of support for autistic people!

Autism Advanced Accreditation Specialist Award, awarded to Autism Dogs Charity in 2023

Autism Accreditation is an autism-specific quality assurance programme. It was set up by the National Autistic Society in 1992 to improve the support available to autistic people in organisations throughout the UK and across the world, including local authorities, NHS trusts, education authorities, schools, colleges and more. To gain Accreditation, organisations have to meet a standard of excellence and follow a framework for continuous self-examination and development.

We feel very proud to have improved in our Autism Accreditation standing, as it demonstrates our continuing passion and commitment to making our services as accessible as possible for autistic people and their families!
