Position: Grant & Bid Writer
Location: Hybrid (Remote & Head Office)
Contract: Part-time, 20 hours per week
Salary: £40,000 per annum (pro rata)

About Us:

Autism Dogs Charity is committed to enhancing the lives of autistic individuals through the support of highly trained assistance dogs. We are looking for an experienced and passionate Grant & Bid Writer to join our team and help secure vital funding for our charity’s ongoing projects and initiatives.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying funding opportunities, writing compelling grant applications, and managing the grant submission process. Your work will directly support our mission of providing life-changing assistance dogs to autistic individuals. This is a part-time, hybrid role, offering the flexibility of both remote work and time at our head office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify suitable grant funding opportunities for Autism Dogs Charity.
  • Write, edit, and submit high-quality grant applications and bids to secure funding.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with funding bodies, trusts, and foundations.
  • Manage the grant application process from research through to submission.
  • Track and report on grant application progress, outcomes, and future opportunities.
  • Work closely with the charity’s leadership team to align funding efforts with the charity’s goals.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in successfully securing grant funding for charities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to research and identify appropriate funding opportunities.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a hybrid working environment.
  • Desirable: An understanding of autism and experience working with autism-focused charities.
  • Desirable: A passion for animal welfare or experience working in a charity supporting animals.
